Multi-standard MIMO radio base station transmitters
The spatial multiplexing scheme used to implement MIMO relies on the ADC receiver data streams and the DAC transmitter data streams being sample synchronous and phase coherent. Maintaining sample synchronization is typically accomplished using brute force methods – FPGA-based state machines plus complex data converter clock and reset logic at board level. New data converters now embed multiple device synchronization functionality, making the implementation of MIMO transceivers much easier than with older obsolete high-speed converters without this functionality.
This white paper presents brief overview of the challenges associated with MIMO transceiver design and a simplified theory of operation for NXP Semiconductors CGVxpress MDS feature.

Sample Kit
Available Now! Sample kit for QUBiC4 Si and SiGe:C transistors for any RF function (BFU6x0 &BFU7x0).
This sample kit contains a selection of RF transistors based on NXP’s new 6th & 7th generation. Use the selection guides (on the sample kit) to select your preferred type. New 6th & 7th generation RF transistors from NXP offer the best RF noise figure versus gain performance, drawing the lowest current. This performance allows for better signal reception at low power and enables RF receivers to operate more robustly in noisy environments. Available via your authorized NXP distributor or local NXP representative.
